# Contact page

> Everything about one person: what has passed between you, their fields, their activity, and whether they may be contacted.

A contact's page answers **"who is this person, and what has happened with them?"**
Open it by selecting someone in [Contacts](/using/contacts).

<Frame caption="A contact's page: who they are, how messages to them have gone, and what to do next.">
  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/fire-flo-omno/qMiP0VYTVwEeCAoo/images/using/contact-page.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=qMiP0VYTVwEeCAoo&q=85&s=1a793732660cddcc62ff0bf2cccb96d8" alt="A contact page with the header, stat tiles, messages, campaigns, tags and notes" width="1440" height="900" data-path="images/using/contact-page.png" />
</Frame>

**Who can use it:** anyone who may see contacts (Owner, Admin, Support and Viewer).
Editing, tags, notes and **Do not contact** need permission to manage contacts (Owner,
Admin and Support). The messages on the page need permission to read messages.

## The header

The header shows the person's name, number, segment and tags, and badges when they
have opted out or are on **Do not contact**. From here you can:

* **Edit** their name, number and segment;
* send them a message or call them, using what each of your channels offers (for
  example *Send SMS* or *Send WhatsApp*);
* **Open in inbox**, when they have a thread;
* put them on **Do not contact**, or allow messages again.

Below the header, figures sum up the relationship: messages **sent**, **received**,
the share **delivered**, **campaigns** they were in, their **last reply** and, with
[Pipelines](/batteries/pipelines), the value of their deals.

## The tabs

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Overview">
    Recent **messages** on every channel, the **campaigns** they were sent, their
    **tags and notes**, and a **Channels** card with how each channel has gone for them:
    sent, delivered, received, read and, for calls, how many and how many were missed.
    Batteries add cards here when your account has them: deals, orders, tickets,
    bookings, agent work and consent. See [Batteries](/batteries/overview).
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Fields">
    Every field this contact has: the shared fields and their segment's own. Edit the
    values here.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Activity">
    Everything recorded about them, newest first: messages, notes, deals and agent work.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Do not contact

**Do not contact** is a hard no. While it stands, no message of any kind reaches the
person: not a campaign, not a reply, not a one-time code. The panel stops offering to
send to them.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Set it">
    Choose **Do not contact**. Give a **reason**; it is kept on their timeline for
    whoever asks later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide how long">
    Leave **Until** empty for a block that never lifts, or pick a date and it lifts on
    its own.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Lift it">
    Choose **Allow messages**. Messages are allowed again, subject to the person's
    opt-out and consent as before.
  </Step>
</Steps>

An **opt-out** is different: it is the person's own STOP, and it stops only what they
didn't ask for. See [Concepts](/get-started/concepts#people-and-consent).
