An operator is the business that runs an OMNI service for its own customers. That is FireFlo, or a partner running OMNI under licence. Operators decide what customers can buy, what each message costs, which connections customers send through when they have none of their own, and which parts of OMNI are switched on at all. Everything an operator does happens in the Platform section of the panel.

Who sees the Platform section

The Platform section appears in the menu only for platform staff: the operator’s own people. It is not a role. An account’s Owner can’t grant it, and nobody inside a customer account sees it. If someone who isn’t staff opens a Platform address, the panel turns them away. If they try to save a change, they get “Only FireFlo platform staff can change this.”
Platform settings are shared by every account. A change here reaches all your customers, usually the next time they load a page. Each page below says what a change does to them.

What you control

Customers

Every account: its product, status, wallet, team, modules and usage. Record payments, extend trials, suspend and reactivate.

Products

What customers can be on: the monthly price, the trial, seat limits, and which channels and batteries are included.

Pricing

What each channel costs per country, in price lists you give to products or to single customers.

Channels

The shared connections customers send through when they don’t bring their own. Also the switch that turns a channel off for everyone.

Modules

The channels, batteries and OMNI API this deployment carries, their versions, and who uses each.

Domains and email

Resellers’ own web addresses, the email server, self-signup, and how customers pay.
The Platform section also holds Roles, the set of roles and permissions every account shares. Only staff change them. See Team and roles.

Resellers

Some of your customers may resell OMNI to customers of their own. You turn an account into a reseller and fund it. The reseller then sets up, funds and prices its own customers. See Resellers.

How customers pay you

Payment is offline for now. A customer pays by bank transfer or cheque, following the instructions you set under Email. You then record the payment on their page. Message credit is separate: it is the customer’s prepaid wallet, which you top up from the same page.
